Looking forward to fall with Thrive Yoga Shala
While we are blessed with lingering summer warmth in Sonoma County, for most of us the transition to fall has already begun: back to school, back to reality, home from vacation, settling in for a long stretch of real life before the holidays. In case this seasonal reality check is threatening to get you down, we’ve compiled a list of things to look forward to at the studio in the immediate and near future. Join us as we sweat, stretch, move, connect, and ground for the new season!
Look forward to later this month:
Come flow, float, sweat, and play with Kelliann for an all-levels Handstand Workshop on Saturday 9/28 from 11am-1:30pm. Learn Kelliann’s techniques for making progress in your upside down pursuits! Sign up via Eventbrite here or at the front desk.
What could be better than starting your day on a mid-week morning with an hour to breathe, move, and get back in your body? Tuesday and Thursday 8:30am classes with Kelliann are now 60 minutes so you can get in your flow and then take on your day.
Calling all pregnant yogis, Hediyeh is here for you! Get help building a safe, powerful yoga practice to support your pregnancy with Hediyeh’s new Private Prenatal Consultations. Send us an email for details and to book.
Thrive’s new website is coming later this month! You’ll be able to view up-to-date schedule changes, book classes, and buy passes right from the site.
Good things are coming next month, look forward to October:
Are you an early riser? If you’re not, you might change your ways once you hear Shannan will be teaching 60-minute 6am classes twice a week starting next month! Set your alarm and keep your eye on the schedule.
Starting the first Monday of October, strengthen and lengthen each week with Hediyeh’s Yoga/Pilates Fusion. This is a 60-minute, non-heated, all-levels class that is a perfect complement to your regular yoga practice. Mondays at 10:30.
Look forward to this winter:
Looking to deepen your practice, learn more about the philosophy of yoga, or become a teacher? This winter, Shannan will be holding her first solo-led teacher training, beginning early 2020. This is an incredible opportunity to benefit from her 20+ years of experience teaching in a unique, transformative 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training that will challenge and inspire your practice and your life. More details coming soon, send us an email to get on the teacher training email list.
A Message from Shannan
In my own spiritual calendar, September symbolizes the refocusing of energies that have been dispersed, perhaps spread thin. The suggestion that autumn is upon us is an invitation to cultivate inward focus, using the reflection of the interior as a barometer to indicate where balance has been lost and needs to be reestablished. Why not use the momentum of the changing season to take a look at our life, assess our appreciation and gratitude, and then to move forward on our path with a renewed focus, discernment, creativity, and willingness to be flexible?
